Featured: Everlasting (Summer 25')

I worked on this project for about a year. When my Aunt Nina passed unexpectedly in July of 2024, I knew I wanted to create an urn that represented her life and the happy memories we had with her. Nina was an avid equestrian for most of her life. She was very close to my father, her younger brother. She used to tell me stories about their family trip to Nice, FR, when she was eight and my dad was three. After she passed, my dad and I were going through her old photo albums, and we found a picture (second picture in the slider gallery) of them playing in the ocean together. In that moment, I knew I should include the moment in her final resting place. I also included their family boat, the "JANPAM", named by combining the first letter of each of their names: John, Anne, Nina, Peter, Anthony, and Michael.

This is a porcelain jar/urn decorated with homemade colored porcelain slip and hand-painted underglaze details.
